Social Distancing

Written by on July 19, 2020

In order to do D&D at event spaces again we need multiple things, and we need them in this order:

1. A confirmed case count in Virginia under 500 that is part of a steady downward trend.
2. Venue spaces motivated to have us back, including willingness to put strict safety protocols in place, including social distancing for game tables.
3. DMs comfortable accepting that level of risk, and enforcing things like mask guidelines.
4. Players willing to come fully prepared to play with all their own stuff: Mask, dice, character sheet, pen/pencil. Players will also need to adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing requirements at all times during the game (exceptions for eating/drinking).

It is important that we not judge others for their willingness or reluctance to start in-person games. Different folks are going to have different levels of risk tolerance, and that’s alright. Keep it respectful out there, and everyone be safe!

While our brewery games are suspended during social distancing, don’t forget to check out our online community games and hangouts. We’ll be doing video game twitch streams, live plays, podcasts, and more.
